Vice Chancellor

VICE CHANCELLOR A GREAT FUTURE RELIES
ON GREAT EFFORT.

DR. RAJESH DIXIT

Vice Chancellor,
Renaissance University

I am , to a great extent, convinced with Plato’s ideas of “Philosopher King”. No matter how flawless a system is, it becomes obsolete and starts acting like a roving comet if not filled with adoption and exploration of innovative ideas. Unfortunately, the Indian education System, especially the University education has become a victim of outdated legacy models. Education does help you to fetch a degree but this is not the ultimate objective of being educated. True education enlightens your heart, brain and soul, moulds you into a good human being and eventually strives for the welfare of humanity.

Each and every school at Renaissance University, not only aims at bridging the gap between Theoretical and Practical knowledge but also prepares the students with all round development. When these students enter the society, not only will the challenges become dwarf, but such students can also give society and nation the direction of a new, advanced, sophisticated and sustainable development.

This is probably going to be the first university in the country that will not only link the subject to relevant and experimental aspects, but also use the time to study in scientific and classical ways for example courses that increase physical, mental and spiritual powers will start in wee hours and curriculum with creative interest will start from evening and late evening till midnight. Library canteen and other facilities will be available to students preparing for competitive entrance exams, round the clock, ensuring the concept of 24*7 in a positive manner. Any university should be a Universe in itself. Keeping this motto in mind, we at Renaissance University will emphasize on the activities like yoga, meditation, prayer, games, entertainment, dance, theatre, etc. that relate to the totality of life and help enhancing the scientific thinking of an individual.

Our goal is to create personalities which have a spiritual and scientific facet to it, as quoted by a famous thinker. Our goal is to create a University wherein the canteens and Corridors are abuzz with discussions about ideologies of luminaries ranging from Plato and Socrates, to Marx and Gandhi, wherein the classroom walls eco with conversations about Aryabhata, Varāhamihira and modern scientists like Stephen Hawkins and wherein the learning of the students is not confined to just Classical Indian Music but breaches boundaries to learn blues and jazz.

In brief , every form of life, be it micro or macro, should be seen, analyzed and understood. We not only expect this from our very own self but this same ideology should also be followed by our teachers and students. I hope we will succeed. People make a university great, so whether you are a prospective student, current student, professor, researcher, staff member, graduate, parent, neighbour, or visitor, your interest and enthusiasm is valued and appreciated.
