An MSc in Agriculture with a focus in Agronomy is a graduate-level program that provides students with advanced knowledge and skills in crop science, soil science, plant breeding, plant physiology, and biotechnology as they relate to the production of food and other agricultural products. The School of Agriculture designed an MSc in Agriculture in Agronomy course to prepare students for careers in research and development, farming and agricultural production, or in government or non-government organizations related to agriculture.

The program also includes hands-on training in research methods and techniques, and opportunities to work on real-world projects and case studies. Students complete a research project or thesis as a requirement of the program which gives them the opportunity to conduct original research and contribute new knowledge to the field of agronomy.

Graduates of the program will have a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends and developments in the field of agronomy, and will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a variety of careers in the agriculture and food production sectors.

Bachelor’s degree in B.SC. Agriculture or an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (for SC/ST/OBC 45%) from a recognized University.
