M. DESIGN

A Master of Fashion Design is a graduate-level program that focuses on advanced study in the field of fashion design. The program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in fashion design, takes 2 years to complete and is intended for those who already have a background or undergraduate degree in fashion or a related field.

The curriculum for a Master of Fashion Design typically includes coursework in advanced design techniques, textile science, fashion history, and fashion theory. Students will have the opportunity to develop their own design projects and collections, usually under the guidance of a faculty advisor. The program also includes workshops, seminars, and studio work in fashion design.

The program is highly interdisciplinary, including subjects such as textile science, marketing, business management, and history, which will provide students with a deep understanding of the fashion industry and the skills necessary to succeed in it.

Graduates of the program may go on to careers in fashion design, fashion styling, fashion consulting, fashion product development, fashion journalism, fashion trend forecasting, and fashion education. They may also work as freelance or independent fashion designers or launch their own fashion brands.

Bachelor’s degree in B Design with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (for SC/ST/OBC 45%) and minimum duration of 3 years from a recognized University.
