The Master of Laws (LLM) at Renaissance University is a postgraduate programme in law. It is designed to give you maximum flexibility in choosing your respective field of specialisation like criminology, intellectual property rights, corporate law, constitution, etc. Law students and professionals typically pursue LL.M. to deepen their legal expertise and to enhance their career prospects.
The course of LL.M. which was earlier and still is a two year programme has now been reduced to one year and adopted by several universities across the nation. The newly constructed course is equally valid. The change in the duration is the result of the Round Table meeting of HRD, on legal education, in the year 2009, where it was recommended to reduce the duration of the course to one year.
The holistic approach at the school of law takes the candidate to a higher level of understanding of a respective field. The program is also designed to provide students with regular Legal aid programmes, NALSA, SALSA, Legal workshops, sessions and workshops by practicing advocates as an important feature.
A Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (for SC/ST/OBC 45%) from any university in India or abroad that is duly recognised under the law and by the regulatory authorities.
