Our School of Agriculture provides M.Sc in Agriculture with a focus in Soil Science it is a graduate-level program that provides students with advanced knowledge and skills in the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil and how they affect plant growth and crop productivity. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in research and development, farming and agricultural production, or in government or non-government organizations related to soil science and resource management.
Our curriculum of the program includes advanced coursework in soil physics, soil chemistry, soil biology, soil fertility and soil management. The program also includes hands-on training in soil and plant analysis, soil sampling, and soil conservation techniques. Students typically complete a research project or thesis as a requirement of the program, which gives them the opportunity to conduct original research and contribute new knowledge to the field of soil science.
Graduates of the program will have a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends and developments in the field of soil science and will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a variety of careers in the soil science and resource management sectors. They will also have exposure to the latest technologies used in soil analysis and management, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and precision agriculture.
