COMMITTEE Anti – Ragging Committee

As per the directions of Supreme Court of India/UGC the University has formed the following Anti-Ragging Committee.

We are proud of the fact that Renaissance University aims at maintaining a healthy and congenial academic environment that shall be free from the menace of ragging. University maintains that: Ragging is Unsocial, Illegal, Punishable and has been completely banned in any form whatsoever by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Ragging is defined as “Any act causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates his person or exposes him to ridicule or forebears from doing any lawful act, by intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining, or injuring him by using criminal force towards him or by holding out to him any threat of such intimidation, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force.”

COMMITTEE The Anti-Ragging Squad

The Anti-Ragging Squadshall work in coordination with the Anti-Ragging Committee and oversee the implementation of the recommendations.

The following faculty and staff members are deputed to work as Anti-Ragging Squad. They will remain mobile/alert/active for all time with the purpose of vigilance, form teams for regular patrolling on the University campus. They will have raid/surprise visits to hostels & other places vulnerable to incident with an authority to inspect such places, to maintain record of raids/visits. They may conduct on the spot Enquiry Report to the Anti-Ragging Committee for further necessary action. This squad will frequently monitor, promote and regulate healthy interaction with the Freshmen, Junior and Senior Students.

COMMITTEE Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)

The ICC will examine all matters relating to sexual harassment of women at workplace and will make suggestions and proposals to the University regarding such matters.

The Committee will work according to the provision of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013and UGC letter dated 6th June 2017 as per the guidelines of the UGC and other rules as applicable from time to time.

COMMITTEE Equal Opportunity Cell

Discrimination of any type based on cast, locality, Social/Economical background or gender is prohibited at Renaissance University. This cell shall understand the term of the letter from UGC in word and spirit and initiate continuous actions to ensure that no official or faculty members indulge in any kind of discrimination against any community or category of students, faculty and staff. Sensitizing officials /faculty members of our campus while dealing with cases of caste-based discrimination would also be the responsibility of the cell. The Cell will follow relevant Acts, Rules of Government of India, Court Orders, Regulation of UGC etc. as applicable from time to time.

COMMITTEE Grievance Redressal Committee

This Committee will deal with matters relating to complaints of Students and work as a Grievance Redressal System. This Committee will deal for the resolution of disputes and grievances between authorities, employees, and students of the university by way of arbitration and investigate the cause of grievance and ensure effectual solution depending upon the gravity of the situation.

Pablo Picasso Painting Club

Pablo Ruiz Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, print maker, ceramicist and theatre designer. Throughout the long course of his career, he created more than 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and other items such as costumes and theatre sets. He is universally renowned as one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the twentieth century.
Pablo Picasso Painting Club at Renaissance University provides a platform to all the members to express their talents in the field of art which otherwise would have remained hidden. It is a community of art enthusiasts with a motive to provide each other a safe space to stay connected and listen to their art. The club has been instrumental in bringing out the creative, expressive and aesthetic potential of each student through various programmes and sessions.

William Somerset Maugham Literature Club

William Somerset Maugham was an English author and playwright. He was one of the highest-paid writers of the early to mid-twentieth century, Maugham wrote fiction, memoir, travelogues, and plays.
The Literature Club at Renaissance University Indore aims to promote all literary related domains such as short story writing, book reading, debating, poem reciting, impromptu speaking, storytelling, creative writing etc. among students. The club throughout the year designs and conducts events aimed at honing these skills.
The Literary Club has been founded to promote language and literature. Through these activities, literary coordinators (student and teacher) reach out to language and literature lovers and try to create a space for sharing ideas, emotions and thoughts. The Club is instrumental in building a community of creative, imaginative and thoughtful human beings.
